Blair West is supporting Spicers of Hythe in their search for a Trade Marketing & Range Development Manager. Spicers of Hythe, part of the family-owned Lanchester Group, specializes in luxury hampers and gifting solutions. This newly created role reports directly to the Director of Gifts/Senior Commercial Manager and is based in Gateshead.

The opportunity:

  • Lead the end-to-end product development process, from initial concept through to market launch.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to identify and address market needs and customer preferences.
  • Develop product specifications, packaging, and pricing strategies that align with brand values and current market trends.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends and assess the competitive landscape.
  • Analyse customer feedback and sales data to inform both product development and marketing strategies.
  • Manage multiple marketing and product development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to promote products and drive sales across various channels, including digital, social media, print, and events.
  • Maintain and enhance the company's brand identity and positioning, ensuring consistent messaging across all marketing communications and platforms.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

  • A degree in Marketing, Business, Product Development, or a related field.
  • A proven experience in a marketing and range development role, preferably within the retail, luxury goods, cosmetics, fashion, or gifting industry.
  • A strong track record of successful marketing campaigns and product launches.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.

The benefits included with this opportunity:

  • 30 days of annual leave (including Bank Holidays), increasing to 31 after one year, with an additional day every five years of service.
  • Profit share paid twice yearly, subject to a qualifying period.
  • Statutory pension with a 3% employer contribution and a 5% employee contribution.
  • Westfield Health cash plan.
