Position 1 Recruitment is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our client Engineering site. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will ensure equipment operates efficiently through proactive maintenance and quick response to breakdowns. You will be working alongside the friendly engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Understand and be able to carry out plant start-up and shutdown procedures.
- Perform checks and tests on plant and equipment as required by the PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) schedule or other sources.
- Ensure all work is logged in the Planned Maintenance System.
- Read and follow machine manufacturers’ handbook instructions and drawings.
- Assist in training colleagues from other departments as required.
- Be available to work during plant shutdowns for maintenance tasks or continuous improvement projects.
- Understand and adhere to the company’s ISO 9001 procedures and work instructions.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining clear communication with colleagues and supervisors.
- Support a positive approach towards Health & Safety, ensuring corporate requirements are met efficiently and on time.
- Take responsibility for your own health and safety and the safety of others within your control.
A successful Maintenance Engineer will have proven experience in mechanical or electrical engineering roles within manufacturing environments. They should demonstrate the ability to work independently, meet performance objectives, and take full ownership of their tasks. Additionally, candidates must hold recognised engineering qualifications relevant to the role.
Full-time, permanent position working Panama shifts (06:00 AM – 06:00 PM).
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday.
