A well established, successful business based in Wickford, Essex are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team. This role could also suit an experienced Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant. As the Assistant Management Accountant, your key responsibilities will include reconciling nominal accounts including VAT control account and sales/purchase ledger accounts, reconciling supplier statements and assisting with preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts and monthly financial reports. You will also liaise with clients and suppliers, investigate account variances and discrepancies and will be involved in bookkeeping, credit control, VAT and CIS returns, preparing reports for managers and posting journals and accruals. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and will hold an accounting qualification (ideally AAT Level 4), you will have proficiency across Microsoft Office (including strong Excel skills) have experience using an accounting software package. You will have excellent attention to detail and can manage your workload and meet deadlines.
