We are looking for a Business Manager to support with the operational and commercial success of 20 learn to swim venues rented across Buckinghamshire, Banbury and Northamptonshire whilst striving to grow the business through business development and bringing on board new pool partnerships.
You would be working closely with the owner who is looking to step away from the day to day running of the business and will therefore provide you the support and development needed to take on more ownership of the whole business. 80% of your time would be spent at the Banbury Head Office, 20% visiting venues and working from home and on call one weekend a month. Typically, you would work office hours unless there is an operational emergency.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a similar commercial consumer business (E.g. fitness, sports tuition, training, education, childcare) as a business leader, possibly as a Territory Manager, Partnership Manager, Business Manager, Cluster Manager, Health Club Manager, Sports Centre Manager, General Manager, Aquatics Manager, Sport & Activities Manager, Programme Manager or Swimming Development Manager.
You DO NOT have to be a qualified swimming teacher to fulfil the requirements to be considered for this role, but you must appreciate the benefits of learning to swim/water confidence, and it would be beneficial if you have had parents and children as customers in previous roles.
Benefits Include:
- Starting salary of up to £35,000 DOE with a view to increasing this as you take on more responsibility.
- Bonus based on personal and business objectives.
- Travel expenses paid from the Banbury Head Office.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Contributory pension; 3% employee, 5% employer.
- Ongoing support and development.
