A high growth intermediary business that works across the energy and property sectors is looking to appoint their first Sales Manager dedicated to new business development (B2B). This phenomenally successful company is based in London and has scaled to 80+ people in their 10 year trading history, with ambitious plans to enter new markets and revenue streams in 2025. This is a blank sheet of paper role working with their Commercial Director and MD, focusing exclusively on selling their products and services into a new client base across London and the UK.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for driving business growth. This position requires the ability to be innovative, manage a team, and present weekly stats to senior management. Please note this role is based in London and will involve travel throughout the UK (30-40%) so please only apply if you are able to commute to London on a weekly basis.
Key Responsibilities:- Sales Strategy Development: create and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed company revenue goals.
- Team Leadership: lead, coach, and motivate a sales team to meet individual and team targets. This will initially be a stand alone role with budget to build out a team over time.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of the sales team, analyse sales data, and adjust strategies to improve performance.
- Sales Reporting: prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, including sales forecasts and performance metrics.
- Collaboration: work closely with customer service, and other departments to align sales efforts and improve customer experience.
- Building out an appropriate sales platform/CRM and putting in place systems and processes to track sales, pipeline and effectiveness.
Your background:
- Preferably degree educated with at least 8+ years or equivalent in B2B sales roles.
- Exposure to the energy and/or property sectors would be advantageous but isn't essential.
- Proven new business development skills - this is not an account management or inbound sales role and you will be expected to build relationships with new clients and customers.
- Exceptional organisational skills. You need to be on top of tracking and recording all outbound sales activities.
- Lots and lots of personality: this is a dynamic and energetic company looking for someone who thrives in a buzzing and busy working environment.
- Happy being office based a few days a week and comfortable travelling throughout London/UK to meet prospective clients. UK travel is likely to be to the bigger UK cities and towns.
