We are looking for Hatchery operatives to work in Clonmore. Hatchery Operatives look after chicks, monitoring their health and wellbeing, and ensure they have access to fresh food, water and a safe living environment. There are different systems of keeping laying hens – some will be kept in enriched cages, which provide more space and include a nest, perch and clawing boards; others are kept free range in barns or free-range systems in field paddocks where they can roam and behave naturally. You’ll need: a very positive attitude to your work to complete tasks quickly and efficiently to follow instruction and have good communication skills to be prepared and able to undertake physical work previous knowledge or experience an advantage, but not essential With the possibility of shift work and the location of poultry farms, you’ll need your own transport to get to site.
