Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership & Project Management
- Oversee and manage building surveying projects, including condition surveys, dilapidations, party wall matters, and remedial works.
- Provide expert technical advice and ensure all projects comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Team Management & Development
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Building Surveyors, ensuring high-quality service delivery and professional growth.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and one-to-one coaching.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients on high-profile projects.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high standards of service and satisfaction.
- Business Development & Strategy
- Contribute to the growth and direction of the new Birmingham office.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through networking and strategic partnerships.
- Oversee commercial aspects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and project profitability.
- Essential:
- Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) with relevant professional memberships (e.g., RIBA, CIAT, CIOB).
- Strong technical knowledge of building pathology, construction methods, and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects and leading a team.
- Commercial awareness, including budgeting and resource management.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Desirable:
- Experience in business development and strategic planning.
- Familiarity with surveying technologies and software (e.g., CAD, BIM).
