Are you an experienced energy professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for sustainability? We are looking for an Energy Surveyor to join LASER our Energy & Carbon Division. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting Site Decarbonisation Surveys and providing essential energy performance assessments for public sector customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Site Decarbonisation Surveys for public sector buildings and provide detailed recommendations on energy efficiency improvements.
- Carry out Display Energy Certificates (DECs), Recommendation Reports (RRs), and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) as required.
- Assess energy systems such as boilers, lighting, heat pumps, and solar PV, evaluating their performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Use specialist software as well as Excel to calculate costs, savings, and carbon reduction potential.
- Analyse energy data and provide insightful reports for clients to help them make informed decisions.
- Organise and manage site visits, including liaising with stakeholders and ensuring smooth survey execution.
- Manage workloads effectively and report progress to the Senior Energy Surveyor.
- Work towards gaining relevant accreditations where required (if not already held).
What we need from you:
- Ideally Industry/relevant technical or environmental qualifications (e.g. EPC, ESOS, CEng, IEng etc.).
- Experience conducting energy assessments and understanding of building energy systems.
- Knowledge of modern energy technologies such as heat pumps, solar PV, and building management systems.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to process and interpret energy data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing reports and advising clients.
- Ability to manage schedules and prioritise workload efficiently.
