CPS Group UK are delighted to be working with a leading name in Entertainment to appoint a Digital Cinema Projectionist & Live Events Technician to join them for an initial 12-month duration, with a view to extend further.
The Projectionist & Live Events Technician will enjoy working on a range of live events – from exclusive screenings to private and brand events. This role requires a deep understanding of the operation of Cinema Projection systems, inclusive of DCP Media & Storage formats, Cinema Media Servers, Sound Processors, AV Control systems and Cinema Theatre Management Systems.
Role Requirements:
- Operator for Live Events for Camera, PA & Lighting Systems.
- Coordinating, scheduling and booking film screenings, multi-media shows, presentation & live events.
- Securely take receipt of film media physically & electronically and prepare for playback.
- Provide technical support for audio & visual, and event management teams and event organisers.
- Service & Maintain Digital Cinema Systems.
- Attend and complete handovers with Screening Room Cinema Projection Team.
- Other production/live event-centric daily duties as directed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience as an audio/visual operator for live stage and presentation events (incl. camera, lighting and teleprompter setups, PA systems, WIN (.ppt), Mac (.key), presentation switching equipment and sound mixing desks).
- 5+ years’ experience working within a Cinema Chain and or Screening Room in the role of Digital Cinema Projectionist.
- I.P. awareness and content handling best practice.
- Deep knowledge of integrated Audio & Visual equipment with digital cinema projection systems.
- Experience with Dolby/ Christie Projector & Server | Theatre Management Control Systems & User/Operator Interfaces.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of what is involved within operating, supporting and maintaining a multi-purpose Film & Presentation facility.
- Practical knowledge of security policies for the protection of media.
- Experience with DCP Creative software (e.g. DCP-Omatic).
- Deep knowledge of Film & Multimedia Ratios, Resolutions & Sound formats.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and building safety regulations.
