Nursery Assistant – Primary School, Islington Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday Location: Islington, London Contract: Permanent Pay: £13.10 – £15.85 per hour Are you passionate about working with young children and keen to support their development in a welcoming and engaging environment? We are looking for a committed Nursery Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Islington. This role involves working across the children’s centre, including the baby room, providing care and support for children aged 0-5 years. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality care and supervision to children within the nursery and children’s centre. Engage children in stimulating educational and play activities that support their early learning and development. Assist in implementing daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices. Support the Nursery Manager and wider team in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Observe and contribute to recording children’s progress and milestones. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Requirements: Childcare qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3) or equivalent experience. A current Enhanced DBS check (on the update service or willingness to obtain one). Previous experience working with children in a nursery, childcare, or early years setting. A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to working with young children.
