M4 Specialist are recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to work in the commercial and domestic recycling sector for our client based in Doncaster. Driving assessment on Monday 2nd June 2025 at 9am and Induction on Tuesday 3rd & Wednesday 4th June (must be available ongoing from this date). Usual start times between 5-7am.

What will I be doing as a Class 2 Driver?

The role will involve the driving and operation of vehicles collecting Industrial and Commercial waste and recycling from our clients' customers, delivering a high standard of service and always ensuring compliance with our clients' customers' Health and Safety rules as well as our own.

What are the requirements?

  • You must be able to demonstrate a passion for professional driving coupled with good communication skills and a willingness to be part of a successful hardworking team, delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Experience in the waste industry welcomed but not essential as training will be provided.
  • An HGV Class 2 license as well as a CPC & Digitacho card are essential.
  • Experience of working in the waste industry is desirable though not essential.
  • Experience of working with Rear Compaction Vehicles is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Good local knowledge of the driving area.
  • Awareness of the safe operations of weighbridge and waste transfer station operations would be an advantage.

Pay rates for a Class 2 driver: £13.96ph Days, £17.34ph Overtime PAYE role only Weekly pay.

Requirements for the role of Class 2 driver:

  • Be aged 25 or over
  • Hold a valid UK Class 2 licence (6 months experience)
  • Have valid CPC and Digi Card
  • No more than 6 points on your licence
