This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career with a global Engineering Services company, working for one of our major customers at their site. Working among our knowledgeable and experienced on-site team of Technical Authors, you will get the exposure and training to develop your skills and progress your career within the Nuclear industry.

The role will require you to liaise with the onsite engineering team to create instructions for the maintenance and use of various nuclear related systems and products. As a member of our Technical Authoring team, you will support the day-to-day running of the UK’s only Pressurised Water Reactor, gaining invaluable real-world skills and experience.

Opportunity
  • Work onsite at a fully operational nuclear power station.
  • Be part of an engineering team that supports the day-to-day running of the UK’s only Pressurised Water Reactor (PWR).
  • A unique opportunity to work alongside experienced Technical Authors and an experienced Engineering team on a variety of documentation including: Installation, Commissioning, Testing, Operation and Maintenance.

As part of the role, you will be involved in gathering and processing complex engineering data:

  • Data verification and clarification – detailed observations and reporting of engineering changes and new equipment installations.
  • Updating critical procedures and plans for equipment within the power station.
  • Ensuring plans and drawings are representative of the latest build specifications.
  • Help inform procedures, policy and plans.
  • Be embedded in a safety critical culture, learning real-world skills and gaining invaluable experience of a Nuclear power station.
  • Personal development in specific engineering disciplines – if you have the aptitude, we will help you grow and reach your potential.
To be considered for this opportunity
  • You will need to be a Graduate that has studied Engineering; Nuclear, Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Good understanding of engineering data in a variety of formats from Engineering drawings to Design Reports.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Adequate competency using different software packages for planning/reporting purposes.
  • Initiative, drive and adaptability to build your desired career, with support from our leaders.
  • A pro-active, open-minded thinker that can provide potential solutions.
  • Ability to track production of tasks from conception to completion.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing customer requirements.
