We are currently supporting our client, a well established manufacturing business in Widnes with hiring a Mechanically biased, Maintenance Engineering Supervisor. This is a days based role, working Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm.

About the role: The Maintenance Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing multi disciplined maintenance activities on site and you will provide leadership, guidance and direction to a team of 4 Mechanical Maintenance Engineers and 2 Electrical Maintenance Engineers, while ensuring that projects and works meet the quality standards and deadlines.
Some of the key responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineering Supervisor will involve the following:
- Control maintenance activities on site using the personnel efficiently.
- Maintain an efficient operation with the maintenance team.
- Ensure adequate risk assessments and safe systems of work are completed for all activities.
- Help develop and follow the preventative maintenance program for the site.
- Follow a rigorous inspection program for all equipment on site.
- Follow the procedures in the management system to ensure compliance with all standards for the site.
- Complete all routine checks following the preventative maintenance schedules.
The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Engineering Supervisor role will have the following background:
- Must have prior Maintenance/Engineering management, supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Proven experience working in a Process / Industrial related sector.
- Experience in hands-on, practical mechanical maintenance.
- A proactive and engaging personality who enjoys collaborating with different departments.
- Committed to health and safety and ensuring product quality at all times.
