Interim Group Financial Controller needed for a hugely popular, global music brand! This is a 4-6-month interim position where the successful candidate will play a critical role in driving the division’s accounting and reporting, and financial planning. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong Financial Controller, to work with such a great/growing brand and gain some valuable experience. Key responsibilities include – Preparation of precise and timely financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis. Ensure adherence to UK accounting standards (UK/US GAAP/IFRS) and tax regulations. Oversee and improve the label’s budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. Offer financial analysis and recommendations to the board and senior leadership team. Review royalties, licensing agreements, and publishing contracts to ensure profitability and compliance. Lead, guide, and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance and growth. Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and corporate governance standards. Candidate Requirements – Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience. Previous music or media experience is essential. Demonstrated success in a senior financial leadership position, ideally within the music industry. In-depth knowledge of royalties, publishing, and licensing revenue streams.
