Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) delivers adult social care services and all community health services for adults and children in the Renfrewshire area. The HSCP is an established innovative partnership between Renfrewshire Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Chief Officer who will work with the Integration Joint Board (IJB) and the Chief Executives of both Renfrewshire Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to set the future direction for the HSCP. This is both a challenging and exciting time to join us as our new Chief Officer.
We are proud of our reputation for excellence, a result of the commitment and passion of our 2,420 health and social care staff employed between Renfrewshire Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. With a total budget of around £304.4m, you will direct the design and delivery of integrated services to meet the changing needs of our population.
You will be at the forefront of an ambitious agenda to drive change, to be innovative, and to ensure continuous improvement of our services to deliver safe, high quality, and effective health and social care that is sustainable for the future health and wellbeing of our population. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring continued progress towards delivering the priority areas agreed in HSCP's Strategic Plan.
For the successful candidate, it’s a critical time as we continue to build our Covid-19 recovery and renewal plans, directing the re-mobilisation of health and social care services to adapt to the needs of a rapidly changing environment.
This post requires someone with a high level of political awareness and the personal credibility to quickly gain respect and influence with both internal and external stakeholders. Operating across a complex system, the visibility, scale, and profile of this opportunity should not be underestimated and therefore requires a high degree of resilience, tactical skills, and the ability to deal with ambiguity. Inspiring and credible communication and influencing skills are essential attributes.
The role demands an exceptional track record of driving large scale transformational change programmes along with significant financial and risk management experience, preferably from within a large complex NHS or local authority/government organisations. While a track record of success in the management of health services and/or social care services is preferable, we are open to applications from other comparable public or private sector organisations.
