We are partnering with a specialist land promotion business that delivers residential and commercial sites with planning permission, accelerating development for house builders and the logistics sector. The company collaborates with landowners, navigating the planning system at its own cost to secure residential planning consent, with a share of net sales proceeds when sites are sold to development partners. Role Overview
As a Technical Coordinator, you will support Regional, Commercial, Land & Planning teams, managing external consultants and overseeing technical aspects of residential and mixed-use developments. You’ll play a key role in:
- Project Coordination – Assist in project management during pre-bid, pre-exchange, and planning application stages. Support land and disposals teams throughout the sale process.
- Technical Analysis & Documentation – Review, prepare, and update technical summaries, constraints plans, title overlays, and key planning documents. Ensure compliance with building regulations, drainage strategies, and environmental considerations.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Liaise with internal teams and external consultants in areas such as engineering, highways, utilities, ecology, and arboriculture to optimise site development.
- System & Process Management – Use Monday.com to track project progress, ensuring key actions and reporting are accurately maintained. Implement best practices to enhance project efficiency.
- Value Engineering & Compliance – Scrutinise design drawings, specifications, and reports to maximise land use and attain best value for both the company and landowners.
Essential & Desirable Criteria
Education
- HNC or equivalent in engineering, architecture, or construction management (Essential)
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field (Desirable)
- Chartered status in a relevant field (Desirable)
Experience
- Understanding of building regulations, CDM regulations, and key legal agreements such as S106 (WI and T&CP), S38 (HA), and S278 (HA) (Essential)
- Previous experience in a technical role within housing development or land promotion (Desirable)
Key Skills
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and reports with a good understanding of minimum design requirements
- Proficient in AutoCAD for internal drawings and coordination of external information (Essential)
- Confident in using project management software and relevant technical tools (Desirable)
