This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fast moving Rehabilitation ward based in North West Surrey, Woking Community Hospital. The ward provides twenty-four hour care to patients who require rehabilitation and support prior to getting back to their normal environment. This role offers an opportunity to acquire and develop skills as a healthcare assistant. The ward works closely with the local universities to support student nurses and will work with individuals to develop personal and professional growth. The job requires the individual to work days and nights on a rota basis. Please note we do NOT offer UKVI sponsorship; all applicants require the right to work in the UK.
Main duties of the job:
- To support and assist the ward team members in the provision of a high standard of patient care, including the promotion of physical, mental and emotional wellbeing to the patient.
- To be an effective member of the ward Multi Disciplinary Team carrying out assigned tasks involving direct and indirect care provision to patients under the supervision and guidance of senior staff members.
- The HCA role will work across a twenty-four hour/seven day week period within the ward setting to deliver direct personal/nursing care to patients.
- To undertake tasks on the ward of a non-clinical nature which contribute to the smooth running and general management of the ward.
