About the role
Are you looking for a new challenge in an organisation committed to making a real difference to the residents of Cambridgeshire? We have a permanent and full-time position available as Postal Operations Team Leader which oversees the smooth running of the postal and record retrieval services for Cambridgeshire County Council. The role will line manage a small team supporting the delivery of the postal and record retrieval services as well as engaging with colleagues across the council to ensure that the service is delivered in the most efficient and cost-effective manner whilst embracing new technologies and ensuring our vision of being a greener Cambridgeshire. This role is based in Huntingdon and the ability to travel to other locations would be advantageous. We also offer flexible working arrangements and would be happy to discuss these with applicants.

About you
We are looking for someone who is organised and has the ability to plan the workload of a team and oversee a smooth service delivery. In addition, we are looking for someone who has strong communication skills and can demonstrate experience of communicating with a range of colleagues and stakeholders across an organisation. Strong IT skills and the ability to critically review processes identifying best value and efficiencies is also required. In addition, excellent customer service that can be applied both internally and externally is essential. An understanding of public sector services, especially within a Local Authority, would be advantageous although not essential. Training and guidance will be provided to the preferred candidate through an induction plan.
