Are you a Meteorologist with a passion for applied meteorology? An innovative client of mine are looking for a Meteorologist to support the development and operations that operate beyond the scope of conventional forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate global weather forecasts ranging from within-day to seasonal timescales
  • Capture key changes in NWP/AI models
  • Provide expert interpretation including clear communication of uncertainties
  • Conduct innovative meteorological analysis for client projects
  • Conduct your own research with limited oversight and present at conferences

What We’re Looking For:

  • Hold a MSc or PhD in meteorology or a related quantitative discipline
  • Have proven operational forecasting experience
  • Have experience of writing forecasts
  • Have strong quantitative skills and sense-check results as the norm
  • Be able to write code from scratch to analyse .nc or .grib files (with python an advantage)
