Are you a Meteorologist with a passion for applied meteorology? An innovative client of mine are looking for a Meteorologist to support the development and operations that operate beyond the scope of conventional forecasts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate global weather forecasts ranging from within-day to seasonal timescales
- Capture key changes in NWP/AI models
- Provide expert interpretation including clear communication of uncertainties
- Conduct innovative meteorological analysis for client projects
- Conduct your own research with limited oversight and present at conferences
What Weβre Looking For:
- Hold a MSc or PhD in meteorology or a related quantitative discipline
- Have proven operational forecasting experience
- Have experience of writing forecasts
- Have strong quantitative skills and sense-check results as the norm
- Be able to write code from scratch to analyse .nc or .grib files (with python an advantage)
