We are currently working with a well-respected M&E contractor with a turnover of circa £50m and a strong pipeline of projects across the commercial, healthcare and life-science sectors who are looking for a regional QA manager to join their London business. Reporting to a Quality Director based in Ireland, you will be responsible for the London region, working alongside project directors and all relevant stakeholders to develop and implement robust QA procedures and drive consistency across projects. You will typically have an overview of 3-5 projects simultaneously, splitting your time between their head office in Kings Cross and out on site when necessary.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of onsite quality advisors.
- Liaise and work with project personnel to provide technical advice, resolve problems and ensure Project Engineers are trained in QA/QC processes in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Arrange for all required mock-ups to be reviewed and signed off by all project stakeholders.
- Co-ordinate system walk downs with all project stakeholders in accordance with the company tagging system and agreed system handover protocol.
- Ensure all project documentation is up to date and in accordance with company policy and procedures for auditing purposes.
- Attend management meetings with an update for the management team.
- Participate in detailed technical reviews of the installation and commissioning processes.
- Maintain and contribute to the training logs, skills matrix and records for the QA team.
- Develop and support start-up, commissioning, and safety plans and procedures, ensuring conformance to all company policies.
- Prepare commissioning progress reports for project stakeholders.
- Coordinate and/or attend design construction, start-up, commissioning of all systems.
- Ensure all record documentation (O & M manuals, record drawings, BCAR certificates) is maintained.
