An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Paralegal / Paralegal to join a well-established Dispute Resolution team within a reputable legal firm.

The Dispute Resolution team provides expert advice on a variety of civil dispute matters, including land and property litigation, commercial and contract disputes, landlord and tenant issues, planning, debt recovery, family law, and employment. The team is actively involved in litigation across multiple courts, including the Sheriff Court, Court of Session, Supreme Court, Scottish Land Court, and Lands Tribunal.

As a Trainee Paralegal, you will be an integral part of the team, assisting with a wide range of tasks to support the resolution of disputes. This role offers excellent exposure to the legal field and a chance to build your knowledge and skills in dispute resolution under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation and organisation of legal documentation
  • Drafting correspondence and legal documents such as letters, reports, and court forms
  • Managing case files and maintaining accurate records
  • Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries
  • Communicating with clients and other legal professionals
  • Attending hearings and court proceedings, where appropriate, to provide administrative support
  • Assisting with administrative duties, including managing schedules and deadlines

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with a good understanding of Microsoft Office packages.
