Our Client seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. The Financial Accountant would be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and producing financial reports to support key business decisions. This role offers hybrid working.
Duties of the Financial Accountant include:
- Prepare bank sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy.
- Manage the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and completing required tasks.
- Compile monthly management accounts and financial statements in accordance with financial reporting standards.
- Generate monthly board packs and various financial reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) to provide insights into company performance.
- Manage cash management, including cash reconciliations and cash flow analysis.
- Conduct cost control reviews and financial variance analysis.
- Prepare monthly accounts for individual entities and consolidate group accounts, including variance analysis.
- Conduct monthly provisioning analysis and manage bad debt write-offs, as necessary.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of annual reviews and audits.
- Conduct year-end balance sheet analysis for quarterly reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations by preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual returns as required.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required to support the finance function.
Requirements for the Financial Accountant include:
- Qualified Accountant/Qualified by experience.
- Experience managing financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Strong systems experience and the ability to understand impacts and value for finance and wider business.
- In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping.
- Proactive, Analytical, and Inquisitive.
- Strong team player with good organisation, planning, and leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record at working in a fast-paced complex and dynamic environment.
- Advanced Excel Skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
