Royal Wimbledon Golf Club is located on Wimbledon Common and is the joint third oldest golf club in England dating back to 1865. As a private members’ club with over 1,200 members, we expect an exceptional level of service. The catering services we offer range from a variety of breakfasts, lunches, carvery and bespoke silver service evening functions. We also cater for barbecues on summer evenings and a bar snack menu is also available throughout the day.
The Bar Assistant at Royal Wimbledon GC will be responsible for providing an efficient and high standard of service. You will be required to be adaptable to work within the operation. As a Bar Assistant, you will need to be welcoming, efficient and have a positive attitude towards our guests, colleagues and staff. A Bar Assistant will be impeccably presented, polite and focused on providing our members and guests with warm hospitality, leaving them with a memorable experience of their time spent at Royal Wimbledon Golf Club.
You will be expected to communicate at all levels within the business including personnel, Members and guests. Flexibility with regard to hours of work is essential. Qualities must include reliability, punctuality and the desire to progress in this industry, taking advantage of quieter times to help improve service standards.
Royal Wimbledon GC offers a very competitive hourly rate, accumulating holiday pay and the opportunity to work in a friendly and vibrant Golf Club with excellent career prospects. We also provide meals whilst you are on duty, a uniform and free parking. Sufficient English is required to be able to understand instructions and to communicate effectively with other staff and members. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.K, without restrictions (documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates).
