We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical SPM / Lead to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding projects to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage all Mechanical aspects of projects from concept through completion. Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams. Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Health & Safety Leadership: Champion a culture of safety excellence throughout the project lifecycle. Develop, support and implement health and safety strategy, policies and procedures.
- Design and Analysis: Support the development and review detailed Mechanical designs for all aspects of the mechanical services including integration into other systems.
- Budget and Programme Management: Monitor project budgets and programme, identifying potential risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies. Work closely with the project team to optimise resource allocation and project efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of Mechanical designs to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Provide technical oversight to ensure the quality of deliverables.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure risk reduction.
- Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations. Present technical solutions and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate Mechanical systems seamlessly into overall building designs. Mentor and guide junior engineers in their professional development.
- Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and advancements to incorporate innovative solutions into projects. Propose and implement improvements to engineering processes and methodologies.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- IOSH / SMSTS CSCS Preferable but not essential.
- ONC/HNC/ NVQ L3/L4 Building Services.
- Project Management or Engineering Degree.
- 10+ years of experience in Mechanical services engineering.
- Strong understanding of codes, standards, and regulations. HTM knowledge would be of benefit.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex engineering projects.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
