Salaries: £24,000 - £26,000 per year

Hours: 8 hours shifts - Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent Full-Time

Our client is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner for the Toddler Room & Preschool Room with a minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role, as well as a genuine interest in the childcare sector. The Nursery Practitioner will be directly responsible for creating and maintaining an engaging environment that is both stimulating and comfortable, while also establishing positive relationships with both children and their parents.

Qualifications:

  • NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC or equivalent Childcare qualification or mature person wanting to retrain back to work
  • Qualified First Aider or we can train

Experience we prefer:

  • Passionate in Early Years children
  • 2 years paid/unpaid full time working within Early Years with evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
  • Ability to plan for the EYFS/curriculum
  • Able to maintain records, and good practice at all times, and contribute to policy and practice
  • Work on own initiative
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the importance attached to treating information and matters relating to the work of the nursery as confidential matters
  • DBS is required for this position
  • Part time and full time positions available
  • Looking for reliable and hard working individuals

Key Duties:

  • Being a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS
  • Promoting and supporting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues
  • Take necessary steps to safeguard all who access the setting, adhering to the safeguarding policy
  • Ensuring the health, safety and well-being of the children at all times
  • Flexible in working hours if required
  • Support daily routines
  • Follow policies and procedures
  • Leading staff members and teams
  • Light cleaning duties
  • Maintain a high level of supervision
  • Maintain confidentiality
