Technical Consulting Area Manager - MEP Engineer working for the UK business unit of a market leading software business in the Construction Industry. They provide cloud software and services to help make the design of BIM models easier, faster and more accurate. The solution is for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) design and is used by thousands of companies in over 80 countries worldwide.
The role is to operate as the technical lead within the team, offering support and guidance to the sales team, as well as liaising directly with customers to help them get the best out of their investment in the software. You will be in charge of a small team of 2. The ideal candidate will have been working as a degree qualified MEP Engineer with at least 7-10 years of experience in designing MEP models, preferably having used Autodesk's Revit solution. This opportunity will allow the individual to move away from working on time sensitive construction projects and apply their expertise to helping customers use software and ensure usage and satisfaction.

Requirements:
- Educated to degree level – BEng and/or MEng in Mechanical Engineering. Masters qualification preferred but not essential.
- Minimum of 7 years successful experience working as a Mechanical or Electrical design Engineer in the UK MEP Building Services sector.
- Experienced Autodesk Revit user.
- Knowledge of BIM in the UK MEP Building Services sector, its future demands, and other associated standards.
- Team leadership experience, will be able to evidence training, mentoring expertise.
- Strong verbal and excellent written English communication skills essential.
