Welcome to the Audi F1 Project. Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The new team has three locations: Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany), the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

This position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).

Your mission:

  • Research and development in the field of wind tunnel and test object technologies (sensors, robotics, measurement technology, actuators, control, monitoring and calibration).
  • Realisation, support and system integration of retrofit and new construction projects for the further development of the wind tunnel system.
  • Development and integration of wind tunnel system software and control software.
  • Calculation and evaluation of measurement data (sensor data from wind tunnel & test objects, calibrations and technical metrology).
  • Leading of sub-projects in interdisciplinary teams.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (ETH/FH) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering or automation or equivalent experience.
  • Several years of professional experience in the development of electro-mechanical systems in mechanical or plant engineering.
  • Knowledge of various programming languages and databases.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Proficiency in English language skills. German language skills will be an advantage.
