My client is a successful contractor working in the civil engineering sector and would ideally be interested in candidates with a civils background and NEC contract experience.
Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:
- Administration of NEC3 contracts
- Preparation and issue documentation to the supply chain and clients
- Attend project meetings
- Monitor change control
- Liaise with the planner
- Pre, during and post contract liaison
- Supply chain negotiation
- Manage variations
- Monthly valuations
- Final accounts
- Preparation of project tenders
- Client relationships
Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor:
- Ideally you will have experience in the water sector
- Alternatively, you will have a civils background and NEC contract experience
- BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in an NEC contract environment
- Experience of both Pre-Contract and Post-Contract work
- Knowledge of NEC 3 main and subcontract contract forms
