A fast growing PE backed insurance broker on an exciting growth trajectory are looking for a 5+ PQE commercial lawyer to join their legal team. Working autonomously, you will be responsible for a range of legal matters across the business. You will only be required max 1 day a week in the office based in Essex, they can also offer a near remote role if necessary.
Key Responsibilities:- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including partnership agreements, supplier agreements, vendor contracts, and customer terms and conditions.
- Provide assistance with maintaining the legal precedent bank; and assist with providing training to the business on new and ongoing legal and compliance issues.
- Provide support to the business on the onboarding of new clients.
- Work in multidisciplinary teams across various departments, including product development, marketing, and human resources, ensuring that all business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Work with external counsel to support with employment, litigation, IP, regulatory law etc.
- The ideal candidate will be a 5+ PQE generalist lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm or financial services firm.
- Prior insurance experience will be a plus but not a strict requirement.
- Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
