Salary: Competitive starting salary range from £22,369 up to £23,169 per annum (dependent upon experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered.

This role is based within CU Enterprise Limited, a sister company of Coventry University and part of the Coventry University Group.

The Role: As part of the Campus Logistics team, you will provide an efficient and timely transport and distribution service to the university group. You will be responsible for the movement of heavy goods such as furniture, white goods and stock across the campus in line with manual handling guidelines. The role will also work closely with the post room to support the collection, sorting and delivery of post across the main campus and wider group. This will involve administrative tasks such as sorting and recording post and parcels, liaising with courier service providers and advising the business on the best methods of sending and receiving goods. This role also incorporates a variety of driving duties, including general delivery and collection of items across the campus and group, a chauffeur service to VIP visitors and minibus driving. This will also involve monitoring the maintenance checks and updating of documentation for fleet vehicles and planning routes and timings for required journeys. Due to the nature of this role, the contracted hours are 5 over 7 and will include some weekend duties.

Our Successful Candidate: You will have a good standard of education to GCSE level in English and Maths. An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance would be advantageous. You will have experience in lifting and moving heavy items within manual handling guidance and experience of having previously used a pallet truck. This role is a customer facing role therefore you will be required to offer an excellent level of customer service and professionalism. You will have experience of driving a variety of vehicles to be able to drive a minibus (up to 16 people) and provide a chauffeur service. You will have knowledge and understanding of basic vehicle checks and keeping required vehicle paperwork up to date.
