The Opportunity
Due to the businesses continued success throughout the last financial year, the senior finance team are looking for an experienced Group Reporting Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a top-performing ASX company that is known to be one of the best companies to work for in Melbourne. While working with an impressive leadership team, you will play an integral role in the Group Reporting function and add value to upcoming finance projects.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, this position plays a key role in supporting various divisions across the business. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Financial accounting responsibilities for Corporate related entities and Group IT:
- Posting monthly journals including consolidation/elimination entries
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations (incl bank reconciliations)
- Monthly submission of balance sheet and cashflow into consolidation software
- Monthly Group related reconciliations
- Monthly reconciliation of Group (external and internal) tax payments
- IFRS 16 lease maintenance and reporting for Corporate entities
- Financial reporting assistance for the consolidation system, including changes and advice and assistance to business unit finance teams
- Assistance with forecast/budget (balance sheet and cashflow) for Corporate entities
- Assistance with audit queries for Corporate entities
- Support the effective implementation of the consolidation system for the business
- Assistance with the compilation of commentary and analysis of Group’s performance and financial positions presented to the Audit Committee
