Connect Fibre is a rapidly expanding and exciting new business offering the very latest ‘Full Fibre’ to homes and businesses across the nation. With broadband speeds of up to 2000 Mbps, new Wi-Fi 7 technology, exceptional customer service, and costing no more than current internet packages, customer growth is expected to be exponential. Our product sells itself! We now seek a dynamic, ambitious individual to complement our Purchasing Team.
The Role
Reporting to The Head of Procurement, the Supply Chain Manager will lead warehouse and logistics operations. They will also lead stock & inventory control and assist with purchasing relating to passive materials & active equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the general operation of our Supply Chain.
- Work closely with the Delivery & Installs department to create a dynamic Demand Forecast.
- Lead control of the flow of materials from inventory to asset creation.
- Monitor control of stock in & out of the warehouse.
- Lead outbound delivery of items from warehouse.
- Act as an initial point of contact for Suppliers, Freight/Delivery companies, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage Supplier Performance implementing performance reviews and evaluations.
- Assist in the implementation and integration of new systems.
- Own Supply chain & Inventory related reporting, such as tracking of inbound/outbound orders, stock & inventory, asset register and location and other requirements which may arise.
- Lead in general transactional purchasing of stock.
- Assist in management of fleet.
- Provide support to the Head of Procurement and the wider team on ad hoc tasks and projects.
- General reporting support across the Procurement department and provide support to the Finance department as needed.
The Candidate
- Minimum three years' experience in a procurement/Supply Chain or Logistics/Warehousing environment.
- Knowledge of MS Office (ideally Excel at an intermediate level), able to learn new systems.
- Able to organise and manage time effectively.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work well within a team, but also work independently without micromanagement.
- Good understanding of general procurement/Supply Chain principles.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems & processes.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Procure to Pay (P2P) systems.
- Working towards CIPS qualification.
- Demonstrated logical and organised behaviours.
- Desire to develop self via learning and experience.
- Developing communication, teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills.
