As a Team Leader in Supplier Quality Engineering supporting our SGT business, your day is centred on guiding your team in collaborating with suppliers and commodity managers to ensure qualified deliveries. You will foster a multi-cultural environment, engaging with various departments both locally and globally to strengthen relationships and drive success. A significant part of your role involves overseeing the resolution of nonconformances, leading containment actions, conducting Root Cause Analysis, and implementing preventative measures. Your leadership is crucial in enhancing supplier performance and ensuring the quality of our supply chain.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Supplier Qualification and Auditing: Lead a multi-functional team in assessing and auditing supplier capabilities to ensure compliance with Siemens Energy standards.
- Product and Process Qualifications: Guide teams in executing Product and Process Qualifications (PPQ), providing support to suppliers in aligning with Siemens Energy’s Quality Management Process and tools.
- Supplier Quality Supervision: Oversee and enhance supplier quality performance by implementing corrective and preventive actions, and spearheading quality improvement initiatives and risk mitigation strategies.
- Early Supplier Involvement and Collaboration: Foster early engagement with suppliers during the product development phase, collaborating closely with the global supplier quality team, international partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitoring and Communication: Continuously track and report on supplier quality performance, coordinate component acceptability assessments, and effectively communicate risks to ensure timely mitigation and improvement efforts.
