Our client is looking for a skilled Data Business Analyst to join their team. You will work between business and technology, translating complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications for migrating legacy systems to a modern cloud platform.
- Conduct workshops and surveys to gather data migration requirements.
- Create customer journey maps and comprehensive documentation.
- Identify and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Work with data engineers to create mapping specifications.
- Define transformation logic for complex scenarios.
- Ensure alignment with system architecture and business requirements.
- Analyse legacy system data structures for optimisation.
- Design data validation and reconciliation processes.
- Define and validate reporting suite requirements.
- Create technical specifications, including data models and API definitions.
- Develop test cases and scripts.
- Support UAT and SIT, managing defects and re-testing.
- Collaborate with QA teams to resolve data quality issues.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking project activities.
- Design customer migration frameworks.
- Provide status updates and risk assessments.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Experience in data migration and transformation.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, APIs, and cloud data architecture.
- Experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools, including DevOps and Visio.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
What you’ll get in return:
A contract role lasting for an initial period of up to eleven months, paying up to £650 per day. The IR35 status is to be confirmed. The role is Milton Keynes based with hybrid working on offer.
