We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Accounting Analyst to join our Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will manage financial journals, data entry, reconciliations, and assist with month-end processes. Additionally, you’ll assist in preparing financial reports and perform analysis to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, financial knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. What you will be doing:
- Creating key financial insights in inventory position to key stakeholders.
- Assisting in financial reporting of inventory position to internal stakeholders.
- Supporting financial analysis activities to assist in decision-making including pre and post order costing.
- Having a robust understanding of both P/L and BS inventory positions.
- Contributing to the budgeting and forecasting process by providing relevant financial data.
- Managing financial journal entries and ensuring accuracy in data recording.
- Assisting in post month end reporting ensuring that variances to budget and forecasts are clearly defined and well communicated.
- Supporting in inventory related financial regulation optimising initiatives.
- Building strong relationships with operational teams.
- Accurate accounting of inventory.
- Developing standard financial reporting to provide insight on the inventory position to stakeholders from both statutory and financial regulations perspective.
- Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements within financial processes.
- Collaborating with departments to gather data and verify financial transactions to improve inventory reporting.
- Supporting in inventory counts.
- Conducting account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Assisting with external audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- ACCA/ACA full or part qualified.
- Understanding of process and controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders at various levels.
- Strong attention to detail with an inquisitive and proactive approach to tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Enthusiastic, hard-working, and eager to contribute to an open and inclusive team culture.
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of financial software and ERP systems is an advantage.
