Due to continued business growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Building Surveyor to join our innovative firm of Chartered Surveyors. Main Responsibilities
- The role will involve carrying out residential secured lending valuations, homebuyer reports and building surveys, servicing our largest and longest standing clients which include some of the worlds most established banks and building societies.
- We have an impressive client list and drive our success through forging excellent relationships with lenders and delivering a best in class service.
- On a day to day basis the successful applicant will survey and value a wide spectrum of residential properties throughout London and the South East.
- Using iPad technology enables our surveyors to make the best use of their time.
- We are always coming up with innovative ways to improve efficiency and we encourage everyone to put their ideas forward.
- Our Residential Building Surveyors work closely with a range of clients and have close contact with lenders and Private Clients.
Experience
- Minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience and experience of carrying out Level 1, 2 and 3 residential surveys for private clients and/or lending institutions.
- Have used tablet technology for site note taking and be familiar with Quest software, GoReport, RightMove Surveyor Comparable tool and Building Cost Information Service (BCIS) reinstatement valuation.

- Disrepair Surveys
- Ideally will have experience in Development appraisals, Party Wall Awards, Project management.
Qualifications and Skills
- AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS qualified applicants who have experience in residential valuations.
- Candidates with MBEng, MCIAT, MCIOB or MICWI qualifications may qualify for our AssocRICS qualification route.
- It would be preferable if you have some experience of carrying out mortgage valuations, homebuyer reports and building surveys.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential, as is IT literacy and the ability to manage varying workloads to tight deadlines.
