About the Role: As a supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and services are properly maintained and operating safely. You will manage a team of engineers, including both day and shift engineers, while ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met. A vital part of this role involves ensuring that all planned maintenance is completed according to the schedule, with priority given to statutory and mandatory tasks. Additionally, you must ensure that reactive tasks are completed in order of urgency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of engineering technicians and contractors.
- Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of critical building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults, overseeing necessary repairs and replacements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, budgets, and inventory.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to optimise system efficiency and reliability.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to team members.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and materials.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues and coordinate swift resolutions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar engineering supervisory role within facilities management.
- Relevant technical qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field.
- Ideally, HV experience.
- SC and DV clearance required.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of building engineering systems, regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software is advantageous.
