Our client, a well-respected Mult-National organisation, offering delivery, freight forwarding and logistics services are looking to recruit a Multi-Modal Export Executive, based at the offices in the London Heathrow area. On Offer: The opportunity to join a well-respected player within the Freight Forwarding sector A Multi-Modal operations role based within a supportive and welcoming team Genuine opportunity for upskilling and career progression Offering a salary up to £34,000 per annum, dependant on skills and experience Excellent annual leave entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays Discretionary bonus based on company performance Main Purpose of the role: Reporting to the Multi Modal Export Manager , the Multi-Modal Export Executive role is directly involved with all exported goods. The principal function of the role is to arrange and manage the transportation cycle by air and ocean and to ensure all necessary paperwork is complete and legally acceptable to Customs to allow clearance and export into the country of destination. Duties and Responsibilities of the Multi-Modal Export Executive: Booking shipments with airlines, ocean carriers and NVOCC’s. Whilst this role is heavily weighted to ocean exports, you will also be required to handle air freight exports. Create & issue quotations to prospects, customers, and overseas offices in line with the operational SOP. Ensure all quotations are followed up and actioned accordingly Arrange collections with external parties Booking of shipments into CargoWise. Dealing with SRN’s from overseas offices Prepare, control & distribute all required documentation to counterparts complying with regulations & internal procedures Maintain excellent relationships with internal & external customers Follow up shipment status, identify incidents & ensure resolution of incidents Preparation of entries via CDS system. Liaise with origin offices, managing new bookings, receive pre-alerts. Create jobs in the operating system. Checking supplier invoices versus accruals. To update and maintain customer schedules. To Be Considered: Proven experience of handling export freight forwarding operations from start to finish. Proficient working knowledge of Cargowise. Excellent communication skills, as you’ll be liaising with a variety of people, clarity in communication, as problems could arise through inaccuracies. Organisational and planning skills. Teamwork, tact and good interpersonal skills. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Problem-solving ability, particularly when working under pressure.
