About the role
As Legal Counsel you will report directly into the Legal Director and work with the business and the rest of the legal team to deliver the Company’s purpose providing pragmatic clear advice at all levels and informing decision making.
Responsibilities include:
- Contracts
- Contract negotiation and contract management and interpretation
- Contractual claims advice and guidance
- Business Support
- Support both LEVC Taxi and LEVC Mtech passenger vehicle businesses.
- Assist with the full scope of the Legal team’s activities including contracting, compliance, governance, company secretarial, and intellectual property matters.
- Legal Strategy & Risk Management
- Conduct legal risk analysis aligned with company strategy.
- Problem-solve and make informed recommendations under tight deadlines.
- Regulatory & Policy Awareness
- Monitor legal updates, policy changes, legislation, and case law.
- Deliver training on relevant legal topics.
- Process Improvement
- Develop standard documents, precedents, and procedures.
- Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with Geely, their legal teams, and other Geely representatives.
- Respond to Geely group information requests.
- Collaborate within the legal team to balance workload and leverage skills.
Experience to succeed
- Qualified lawyer (England & Wales) with a Law Society practicing certificate
- 4-6 years PQE, sufficient for the role
- Strong academic background
- Self-starter with ability to manage competing demands
- Proactive, enthusiastic, curious, and collaborative
- Strong relationship builder and team player
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a track record of delivering results
- Experience in a large, fast-moving business; automotive/EV experience is a bonus
