Seeking a Quality / First Article Engineer to be based on-site at the Verify office in Milton Keynes, supporting a short-term peak load on a well established FAI Program. The successful candidate will support a team of Verify FAI Engineers who compile First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), with this role focusing on performing a review and second signatory function in accordance with AS9102 Rev. C requirements.
The support will include:
- Reviewing FAIRs for completeness, accuracy and compliance with AS9102 Rev. C
- Acting as the second signatory for FAIRs, providing final review and approval
- Cross-checking documentation against engineering drawings, part lists, and customer specifications
- Liaising with Verify Engineers to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies or missing information
- Ensuring adherence to customer-specific FAIR requirements and formatting
- Tracking and reporting review status and metrics as required
Experience requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 3-years previous experience within an aerospace quality or inspection role
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of First Article Inspection processes and AS9102 Rev. C
- Familiarity with reviewing engineering drawings and related documentation
- Detail-oriented with a methodical and structured approach to review and sign-off
- Prior experience performing FAIRs or acting as a second signatory highly advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload to meet project deadlines
