Scope of the Role: You will partner with the international markets and add value through high-level analysis, offering insights on performance and supporting the respective directors in the markets and the Commercial team. You will also be responsible for supporting, as a part of the wider Commercial Finance team, the management of the budget and forecasting process and respective contribution into the 5YP. This will be in addition to revenue reporting, month-end reporting, and ad hoc commercial analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely weekly/monthly reporting such as the weekly trade reports, resolving discrepancies when they arise and providing commentary on trade performance to be shared with the wider business.
- Represent finance alongside your team at weekly trade calls to understand, challenge, and provide commentary on digital trade performance.
- Prepare and review regional monthly P&Ls, including monthly review meetings delivering insights on performance to budget, reforecast, and prior year.
- Support your team on scenario modelling on any investments or key projects across the international markets.
- Ownership of capital expenditure tracking and forecasting of key investments and projects within the regions.
- Support with preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts including the accuracy, consistency, and management of data within Hyperion software.
- Support in the ownership of the Group monthly reporting including analysis and presentation.
- Support in ownership of the 5YP process, modelling, analysis, and delivery.
- Assist your team with ad-hoc analysis relating to growth projects and management requests.
Team: Participate in team meetings, chairing at least once a week. Work collaboratively with all key stakeholders.

Skills & Knowledge:
- Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivots, macros etc) and competent user of other Microsoft programmes such as Outlook and PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail with excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Commercial focus and awareness of overall business issues and commercial environment.
- Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and work well to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Shows adaptability and can modify own behaviour to reach goals enthusiastically.
- Stakeholder focus and awareness of business needs throughout daily activities.
- Preferred knowledge of ERP systems (Open Accounts and Hyperion).
- Previous experience in the retail sector is desirable but not essential.
