Job overview

Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust is investing in the expansion of the Resourcing Department. We have a variety of exciting opportunities available within the team. We are looking to recruit a Temporary Staffing Co-ordinator within our Temporary Staffing Team on a 10 months fixed-term/secondment contract, for 26 hours per week. The post holder will assist the Team Lead in providing a comprehensive high quality temporary staffing and advisory service to all users of the Department over 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.

You will be required to source staff to cover shifts using the processes within the Department utilising the pool of bank workers and booking Agency Workers, answering calls and dealing with any workforce enquiries and messages in a prompt, polite and efficient manner. Part of your role in conjunction with the Temporary Staffing Officer, will be to assist the Team Lead to complete Agency Worker processes and collate data for reports. Daily responsibilities will include general filing, printing, shredding, and photocopying associated with the team.

Essential criteria
  • Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent experience.
  • ECDL qualification or equivalent experience.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Considerable experience of processing high volumes of bookings onto a Rostering system or equivalent.
  • Considerable experience of using a variety of software packages commonly used within an office environment.
  • Experience of accurate data input and working with a high attention to detail.
  • Experience of using and working knowledge of electronic rostering systems.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Good working knowledge of excel to be able to create and manipulate data.
  • Understanding of NHS temporary staffing processes and procedures.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely and effectively with staff at all levels of the organisation.
  • Able to appropriately update and inform managers and workers in accordance with the temporary staffing processes and procedures.
  • Ability to scan, copy and complete general administrative tasks to an accurate and consistently high standard.
