We are looking for a driven Aerodynamics Project Leader to work closely with our Principal Aerodynamicists and take the technical lead of a team of talented engineers. This role focuses on developing and empowering team members to create innovative aerodynamic solutions.
As an Aerodynamics Project Leader, you will:
- Work to clear aerodynamic objectives, maximising the group’s learning through effective use of CFD & experimental data
- Report results and theories in a clear and concise manner that encourages challenge and sharing of ideas
- Develop and empower less-experienced members of the group
- Prepare, plan and execute successful wind tunnel test sessions in our state-of-the-art, on-site test facility
- Lead development projects with a drive for collaboration, technical innovation and excellence
- Contribute to our culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of our work
- Maintain positive relationships and clear communication of information throughout the department and across the team
Our ideal Aerodynamics Project Leader will have the following:
- Multiple years’ experience in F1 aerodynamic development
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate across functions/departments
- Proven ability to develop less experienced team members
- Excellent understanding of the fundamentals of aerodynamics
- Familiarity with CFD techniques, including non-standard models
- Proficiency in CAD for the design of aerodynamic surfaces
