The Role: Health Safety & Environmental Advisor
You will work alongside some of the finest professionals in the industry. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our Engineers working on our fleet of aircraft and ensuring that we operate in the most balanced way possible, who in turn keep millions of passengers safe in the air.
What you’ll do:
- Carry out risk assessments and formulate safe systems of work within the engineering directorate.
- Analyses and advise health, safety, and environment data, ensuring safe and compliant practices and procedures are developed and implemented.
- Evaluates manufacturer and industry data to develop and implement regulatory and manufacturer requirements, recommendations, and industry best practices through engagement with internal and external stakeholders at different levels.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:

- Shown leadership and communication skills at all levels within the business.

- Experience in risk assessing sophisticated activities.
Your experience:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent level 3 qualification (Essential)
- Engineering based degree (desirable)
- Membership of a professional body (e.g. IOSH, IEMA) (desirable)
