Insignia are currently seeking a Head of Security. This individual will be responsible for the overall company security responsibilities, obligations, and duties, such as maintenance responsibilities, performance responsibilities, strategic development responsibilities, and direction responsibilities. You will be required to create protocols and policies needed to secure and protect sensitive information. You will also be required to make logistics to secure and protect copyrights, intellectual property, and many other related risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for security duties, responsibilities and obligations of the company including direction, strategic development, performance and maintenance.
- Compliance to include legal/statutory, professional duties, responsibilities and obligations relating to security.
- Achieve complete security management systems in accordance with organisation plans and adherence to legislation and agreed regulatory bodies’ processes and procedures.
- Overall team responsibility for performing all security duties.
- Overall responsibility for management and application of the security budget.
- Ensuring that the organisation meets all required security and associated health and safety objectives.
- Monitoring & managing security systems and equipment servicing and/or maintenance in conjunction with other appropriate departments.
- Manage and direct the overall performance of the security team and its individual members.
- Effective liaison, support and assistance between security department and remainder of organisation.
- Maintain and improve mechanisms for risk assessment and disseminate feedback to the appropriate internal entities.
- Support to all other departments with security and related issues.
- Reporting on a weekly basis, as agreed.
- Direct, manage and maintain contact with internal and external clients/customers for feedback and to obtain client/customer satisfaction information.
- Maintain an accurate security record globally.
- Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures.
- Interact and co-operate with all members of the organisation, its suppliers and clients/customers.
Professional Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in safety management, information technology systems, or a similar field.
- At least 6 years' experience working as a security manager.
- Excellent knowledge of state and federal information security laws.
- Proven proficiency in developing physical and digital security protocols and procedures.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional managerial skills and the ability to lead a team.
- Proficiency in information management systems and knowledge of cyber-security.
- Ability to research and stay up to date with security trends, as well as changing government and state laws.
