Site/Section/Senior Engineers – Civil Rail – London, Berkshire, Oxfordshire

Salary: £28,000 – £55,000 + pkg
Location: London, Berkshire or Oxfordshire

A main civil engineering contractor is seeking a Site Engineer to work on a number of station upgrades around the Berkshire area on Network Rail projects valued at £30m. Projects consist of platform extensions and general upgrades. There are over 8 positions for Section, Senior, and Site Engineers to be based in Slough, Reading, Oxford, or Central London.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for ensuring the section of works are delivered safely; to specification, budget, and programme.
2. Provide innovative engineering solutions to a challenging project.
3. Develop construction methodologies / plans / programmes.
4. Management of site activities.
5. Progress reporting.
6. Cost forecasting for the section of works.
7. Material procurement approvals.
8. Provide technical engineering support as a key member of the team.
9. Leadership / support / guidance and management to section engineers and site engineers.
10. Preparation of methods and procedures supported by diagrams and sketches for Work Package Plans.

Candidate Requirements

1. Main/Sub contractor experience within Infrastructure civil projects.
2. Minimum HNC qualified, preferably degree qualified (preferably in Civil Engineering).
3. Will consider a candidate from a tools background as well as engineering.
4. Must have valid and relevant CSCS.
5. Ability to support, manage, and motivate staff.
6. Full control of all gangs.
7. Support the training and development of the Site Engineering team.
