Drive safety innovation and technical leadership in a global engineering environment As Technical Product Manager – Safety at GEA UK, you will support all Technical Product Managers by managing and taking responsibility for safety-related considerations across GEA Eastleigh’s equipment portfolio. This position allows you to establish and develop the role while undertaking various technical tasks to enhance your understanding of equipment and systems. With direct report to the Core Technology Group Manager, the role involves ownership of core business technologies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating with internal and external teams to deliver optimal solutions for new and existing customers. Your main areas of responsibility will be (but not limited to): Technical support and compliance, e.g. manage risk assessment processes for all equipment supplied by GEA Eastleigh. Innovation and continuous improvement, e.g., developing methodologies for technical safety studies and overseeing the application of best working practices. Technical leadership and product safety, e.g., providing technical leadership on DSEAR/ATEX, the Machinery Directive, and associated harmonised standards. Collaboration and client support, e.g., the primary point of contact for technical discussions with external customers. Your qualifications are at least 10 years of relevant experience gained within an engineering discipline, ideally within a Pharma/Chemical Engineering environment and in multi-disciplinary engineering project teams (Design/CM, Analysis, M&P, Manufacturing/Industrialisation) in an international setting. Moreover, you possess expertise in complex engineering systems and processes, with a deep understanding of the relevant standards and regulations, including ATEX, Machinery Directive, and harmonised standards. You have a degree in engineering or a related technological field, preferably in process, mechanical, or chemical engineering, or equivalent working experience. You are a person with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges. You have exceptional communication skills for effectively interacting with internal teams, external customers, and stakeholders. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is valued.
