Now is a great time to join the Finance Department in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our Financial Planning & Reporting Team. As a Finance professional keen to make a difference, you will be an integral part of delivering the Health Board's strategy by working with our finance teams and stakeholders, to provide support and help produce timely reporting and returns. The successful candidate will need to be proactive, have a desire to learn the business of their area of responsibility and be able to develop good working relationships with, as well as providing assistance and advice to, Finance teams, Business Partners and other stakeholders.
Main duties of the job:
- The development and completion of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB)'s Integrated Medium Term Plan.
- The CTMUHB budget setting process together with monitoring and management of corporate reserves and contingencies.
- Producing monthly financial reporting information for the Board and Welsh Government.
- Developing, improving and maintaining systems, processes and policies for financial planning & reporting across CTMUHB.
- Providing project support to support service change and reconfiguration.
Person specification:
Aptitude and Abilities
- Essential criteria: Excellent communication skills, work to tight deadlines and quickly review complex info, proficient in use of Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Desirable criteria: Ability to develop tools such as Qliksense.
Experience
- Essential criteria: Experience of working in Management Accounts Function, experience of using computerised financial management systems, experience of budget setting, experience of working with variety of professions and disciplines.
- Desirable criteria: Experience of working in NHS, experience of Oracle/Qliksense.
Qualifications/Knowledge
- Essential criteria: Degree level of education or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience, plus highly developed specialist knowledge and expertise of finance systems.
- Desirable criteria: Project management qualifications.
