The Revenues and Benefits service has a vital role in the billing and collection of Council Tax and Business Rates. We currently have an opportunity available in both the Council Tax Billing and Council Tax Recovery teams, as a Council Tax Officer. You will ensure the delivery of efficient and effective local taxation administration and collection.
What you will need to do the role:
- This role requires the ideal candidate to have experience in working within a Revenues and Benefits department using the Capita Academy Revenues system. Alternative relevant experience on other equivalent revenues systems will be considered.
- Ideally you will also have experience and competency in the use of local taxation services to customers.
Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of a Standard Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
