Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Researcher to support our executive search mandates. This individual will play a critical role in identifying and mapping hedge fund talent, analyzing their P&L performance, understanding their competitive edge, and building comprehensive organizational structures. The role requires a detail-oriented and tenacious professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research into the hedge fund industry, focusing on technology and trading talent.
• Map company structures, identifying key personnel and team compositions within hedge funds.
• Analyze P&L performance across different trading teams to assess individual and team success.
• Investigate candidates’ competitive edge, technical capabilities, and market reputation.
• Develop detailed research reports and talent maps for use in retained searches.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, key industry players, and competitive intelligence.
• Work closely with Consultants and Partners to support client mandates, ensuring high-quality research insights inform search strategies.
• Utilize a variety of research tools, databases, and networking techniques to gather intelligence.
• Deliver research outputs within tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Economics, Business, or similar preferred).
• Prior experience in research, executive search, financial services, or hedge funds is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and organizational data.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to research and documentation.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and go the extra mile to ensure project success.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential information.
• Proficiency in using research tools, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
